CORRECTIONAL INDUSTRIES AT THE GEO GROUP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD

Each GEO facility operates large industrial workshops that provide meaningful work to prisoners who benefit from building an employment history, developing a work ethic and gaining marketable employment skills.

Through GEO’s partnerships and commercial contracts with local and national businesses prisoners undertake work ranging from basic high volume component assembly to highly skilled fabrication and manufacturing. With specialist on the job training provided by TAFE no job is too big or too complex.

GEO’s industries capabilities extend across a wide range of trades including:

·        Metal and fabrication;

·        Wood and construction;

·        Horticulture;

·        Printing and design; and

·        Laundry and Textiles.
