The GEO Group, Inc. has established itself as a world leader in providing private corrections management, health and mental health services to federal, state and local government agencies around the globe.

The GEO Group Australia began its partnership with state governments in Australia in June 1992 when the Queensland Government awarded the company the contract to operate Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre.

Since then, we have expanded our services to provide finance, design, construction and operational support to minimum, medium and maximum security correctional facilities for three state governments.

The GEO Group Australia has won contracts to design, finance build and operate facilities in Victoria and New South Wales. We have won further contracts to manage a custody centre in Melbourne, an existing prison in Sydney and to provide health services to all 12 public prisons in Victoria.

In each instance, GEO has entered into a partnership with the state government and provided a practical customised solution that addressed the state’s specific correctional needs.

Each of these state governments have consistently demonstrated their confidence in GEO by reappointing us as contracts have been completed.
